Production Diary

To document what went on throughout both production and post production stages, I have created diaries in which I've recorded my contribution towards the group and how we all effectively worked together to create our Horror Teaser Trailer.

Diary Day One: 31/10/2016-4:00pm-6:00pm

In reflection towards our first day of filming, I have made a diary based upon the events of that day and what happened to us throughout filming of certain scenes.
This first day of filming centred towards filming shots 35-42 consisting of Kira's bedroom and font entrance as well as Caddington Streets.

Shot Log-Filming Day One-31/10/2016

Below is the shot log based from our first day of filming at Kira's home, this was to self evaluate the footage and ensure that nothing needs changing or if specific scenes needs re-shooting. Overall it gives us an overall evaluation of the shots we filmed that day to reflect upon and use for when we pursue further to the post production stages where editing will commence and we need to inform ourselves of the best possible footage.

Filming Day Two: Saturday 5th November 2016, 3:00pm-6:00pm
This diary blog focuses upon the events of what has happened on the 5th November 2016. This day continues on from the shots that were left out sounding that was needing to be filmed. Again, we managed to make good progress on this day and managed to film the majority of the shots that were needed to replace scenes for editing as well as ones on the shot log.

Shot Log-Day Two of Filming-05/11/2016
After gaining the shots throughout filming day two-our group needed to look over the footage and evaluate the content determining whether or not it will be good enough to actually upload and import onto premiere for editing.

This task was completed by myself

With the completion of this shot log I was than able to successfully begin to edit and import scene over to Primere to start the first draft of our horror teaser trailer. The deadline for the first draft shall be needed for the 30th November, so our group now know the deadline we can begin to work towards this.

Filming Day Three: Shot Log: Thursday 10th November 2016, 9:00am-11:05am

Post Production Diary Entry 1-2:
This diary covers the first two of my editing times in which I have focused upon editing our teaser trailer production Eve. These times editing I was allowed to revisit my old skills of editing and found that with the past knowledge I was able to advance my skills further and apply to our new production. Editing is on of the most time consume yet beneficial part of the production as it brings our teaser trailer to life. With my previous research into teasers I have been able to denote the conventions of the teasers and incorporate these new found skills into our production whilst editing to make our teaser authentic and believe ready for audiences to consume.

First Draft of Horror Teaser Trailer
This was the first draft that we submitted in to get graded, upon feedback of this draft we shall endeavour to making immdient changes towards our draft in hopes of obtaining our desired grade of an A grade for this production. The production will altogether be marked out of 40 so our group aspire to working hard in gaining this grade to refeclt our hard work and effort that has gone towards this project.

I think as a first draft it is succesful however there were things that may need to be improved on such as the audio as well as pace-however we shall seek further guifnasce from our teachers upon the arrival of our feedback in order to act upon this and know, with confidence of what we need to do to gain our desired grade of an A.

Feedback from Draft One:
This is the feedback that our group has recieved from our first draft, the intitla grading is 25/40 which places us at a C, our group know that in order to obtain an A we must act upon this feedback as a matte ror urgency and complete and rectify imrpovments up to the best of our abilty.
After a disscussion with my group, we have decicedd to again work upon this fairly and share the tasks out evenly-for today as I am free I have deicded to act upon the music and soundtrack as this seems to be one of the main issues-I shall endeavour to work on this area of improvement in order to imporve our groups grade.
