Planning

Upon this page, I've teamed up with two of my fellow media students, Abigail Bacon and Danielle Duffy and all together we have started to plan upon our moving image production in preparation of our horror teaser trailer. Displayed upon this page shall be the tasks that has either been completed as a group task or separately and shared between the group. Each task uploaded upon this page shall clearly indicate who did what task, or if it was a group effort to show credit and recognition as to who contributed towards the production of our task.

Ideas Generation Task

To start the planning of our horror teaser trailer off, it's important that we begin generating ideas towards what the teaser trailer shall be based upon. To give us a wide range of possible plots, the group have all worked on their own to brainstorm their own ideas in which we shall than come together and present everyone's plans. That way we have a wide range of plots and narratives that, as a group, we can decide upon using and develop ahead from there.

Using Powtoon, I've constructed a visual brainstorming page in which I've generated possible plans to present to my group. I regarded important aspects such as Genre, Narrative, Settings, Characters, Props, Editing and Sound to help me visualize a plan towards production in which I can deem whether or not it would be possible enough to achieve.

In conclusion towards this task, I have manage to generate potential ideas towards a horror teaser trailer that I can present to my group in order to choose a possible plot and begin developing from there.

In regards towards my ow ideas, I believe that I managed to explore a wide range of potential plots that can certainly fit towards the horror teaser trailer that is possible to create and develop more into a more enhanced plan.

Ideas Generation Produced from other Team Members

Along with my ideas that I had created, my fellow team members, Abigail and Danielle had also produced their own individual ideas in order for us to present together and begin to collaborate upon a idea that s best suited towards our Horror teaser trailer. Below are their own ideas for potential ideas for our teaser trailer in which we brought all together and spoke about in which idea could be most effective in producing and developing further.

Danielle Duffys Idea Generation

Below is one of our group members, Danielle and her initial ideas regarding our horror teaser trailer, she presented her ideas upon Bubble regarding potential ideas towards a horror narrative.

Abigail Bacon's Ideas Generation

These ideas have been constructed by one team member Abigail Bacon, she used Prezi to present her initial ideas towards thinking up ideas for our production-this work was completed by Abigail Bacon individually.

These Prezi presentations were created by Abigail Bacon in order to generate ideas for our coming Horror teaser trailer.

In conclusion, as a group, we looked over our initial ideas proposed by each team member and discuss upon the advantages and disadvantages and whether that the idea has been done before in existing horrors. We intend our horror to be as fresh and satisfying by setting in place new conventions and ideas to make the narrative seem desirable to audiences as it pipes their interest into a plot that has never been done before.

We decided upon the idea of presenting messages in different ways to the protagonist that somewhat predict events or inform her of things happening around her, at first the messages are rather playful and safe and the protagonist accepts this as the norm and begins to have fun with them. Than over the duration of the teaser, the messages begin to develop and start to frighten her as she begins to accept them and take the presented messages from word to word. This plays with her metal frame of mind as she fears on who to trust and who to keep safe. She soon begins to slip into a state of paranoia, isolating herself away from friends and begins to become a threat herself.

Planning Schedule

In order to begin planning our teaser trailer, our group have produced a planning schedule in which we shall proceed to split the tasks up evenly in order to establish an understanding into who is assigned to what task. Each of the planning tasks shall be presented upon this blog clearly labeling who completed what and if it was a group collaboration.

Upon completion of this schedule, our group members have now constructed a clear idea on who should be completing what task for the purpose of this production. As a group, we've collaborated certain tasks we believe vital to be worked upon together, this ensures the success and the support from everyone within the group.

Proposal
The proposal was completed by fellow team member Abi Bacon, it outlines the final idea of which we have obtained from our previous initial ideas. This has given us a clearer view upon our final idea and a piece of information that we can refer back to whilst planning for the characters and casting as well as script, costumes and props.

This proposal acts as our groups brief as we propose the ideas across to industries as people develop a idea of what they may potentially be seeing and if they accept the idea or not. However, this proposal acts as our groups guide and can be a constant referral as to what our narrative is heading towards.

This now provides us with the main idea in regards to what our group is working towards-this can help with further tasks that are of need of completing in order to develop our ideas further and begin to work on them in more detail.Mood Board

The mood board was created by Abi in which she has incorporated secondary source images that she has found on the internet regarding our chosen genre Horror, taking into consideration of characters, mise en scene and props . This visual board can help for brainstorming ideas into plans and act as our inspirational guide that can clearly help to establish the narrative and the horror genre for audiences.

Character Profile and Casting

This planning has been completed by myself upon Prezi, in which I focused upon characters within our production and who could be applicable for fulfilling this role in our production. The profiles and casting shall go into each persons descriptions, outlining their usefullness and why they are suitable for the jobs role. This is important for our teaser as it informs the group of whom we shall be using for our production.

In conclusion, this has been effective for us as it now provides us with information regarding the characters that can help us plan their actions, dialogue as well as props and costumes. Additionally, it also gives us the casting details that we can now proceed to contact and arrange for filming days for our teaser.

Props and Costumes

This shall assist us further for what we need to bring for our production. Props shall be vital to make the narrative and story line easily known however costume is also of importance in representation our characters and denoting their inner and outer appearances.

This can than help us into deciding what will be needed for our production, it is our groups responsibility for providing these props, we have been given plenty of time between now and filming dates to obtain the desired objects needed for our production, for example, one of the main things that shall need to be gathered would be special effect makeup-I shall be responsible for providing these, ensuring that I get good quality blood makeup to ensure the realism of the theatrical makeup. I should need to invest in blood and rigid collodion in order to gain that desired makeup effect we want in our production.

Shot List

This shall be our shot list that our group shall closely refer towards during the production of our teaser trailer. This shall be a handy resource for us especially how its quick to read and access information.
This can aid us for when we produce our storyboards in which we would be relying upon this information to help character actions/dialogue and camera skills for which we can reproduce throughout drawings.
This can also be a handy source for us to use for when we go out to film as it can give us quick access to what desired shots we want, so we can tick them off as we go along, this helps to save time.

Script

Displayed in the final script of our teaser trailer production, another handy resource for both production team and actors. Everyone involved within this production shall receive a script in which they would have to follow the actions noted in the script to reproduce in the footage.

This shows our Location Reece, in which we plan to film our shots for our production. This work outlines what locations our group are intending to use as well as outlining cons and pros of this that we may encounter.

Audio Permissions

Below features the audio our group have explored from both primary and secondary perspectives, it is vital to ensure we investigate into permission and whether or not we could be granted access into incorporating the sound tracks and effects into our production. That way we do not breech no issues such as copyright resulting in the downfall of our project altogether.

Risk assessment from Danielle

After the conclusion of this task, we have identified different audio effects and tracks from both primary and secondary perceptive to cater towards the sound for our footage, with thus research conducted we now know how to not breech copyright issues and how to approach composers if guidelines into using audio is not clearly specified. Our group would also like to look towards using Foley for our sound effects to ensure that we explore different skills and create sounds that would be of more personal level to us.

Shooting Schedule

Displayed below shows our planned shooting schedule in which we shall use for the production stages of creating our teaser trailer. Its important that we stick to these planed dates and time to keep us on track and informed with each intended stage next.

Permissions:

It is vital that we obtain permissions for locations and actors for our production to ensure that we inform the owners of the land our intentions and actions, so it gives them an idea of what we would be doing on there, why and where it would be seen. Addtionally, it is also vital that we inform actors of the purpose of their needed acting and where that shall go so that they are fully aware of their commtiteed signature and what they will be signing up to do.

Caddington-Village, Alley and Park

Our team member Abi Bacon was assigned this task of obtaining permissions for both actors and locations, she drew up a contract for the actors to sign and with o8ur desired locations she emailed them, this is her following work:

Location Permissions

Kira's Home:

This group grants us permission to use Kira's home (front entrance porch, driveway and bedroom) to film our shots for our production. This permission allows us to use her home and reshoot if neccassary.

Manshead Upper School:

Abi sent an email over to the head of Manshead, Mr Parker, to allow him to consider granting us permission in using the school to film a few scenes in. He sent it back immediantly granting us permission and confirming that it is okay to film wilthin the school grounds.

Caddington-Park

Abi also emailed the local council in Caddington Village requesting permission to film the park scenes for our teaser, this permission also came back as granted, allowing us to pursue onwards with filming there.

Caddington-Village, Park, Alleyway

Unfortunatly with this requested permission, Central Bedfordshire Council did not grant us permission in using the alleyways, so our group had to think above this and ame alternative plans in using a diferent alleyway to stil get that scene within our scene

Our group than thought of an alternative idea in using the Manshead alley, considering we have obtained granted permission in using the school grounds or the small alley leadingonto the park wit the permission requested from the local councial-our team shall evaluate both of these location and decide what best one to use when we come towards the prouction stage of our work.

Actor Permissions:

Actors permission is important as itgrats us the access to exhibit their acting on all forms of social media as well as informing them of our intentions and what our group would e expecting them to do.
